FLASH! The General Medical and Emergency Grant funding is currently depleted through July 31, 2008. Please check back with this webpage after August 1, 2008 when new funds may be available to our members. Congrats to those who applied and received monies from this grant.

Grant money for boarding has also been spent and there is no more boarding grant money available – we’ll notify everyone when and if more boarding grant money becomes available.

Additional Grant Opportunity

ABRN has negotiated an agreement with the American Humane Association that allows our members to apply for Second Chance grants under ABRN’s AHA membership.

Each of our members can apply for up to $2000.00 a year to cover the expenses necessary to get rescue dogs ready for adoption. Each animal requires a separate application so you would only use this for extraordinary medical requirements.

The Second Chance application is on the AHA website under Shelter Services.

Where it asks for your AHA membership number, write ABRN Member.

Where it asks for a news source, write Channel 9, Denver, CO. Petline 9.

If you have your own 501C3, use it. If you need ours, contact Martha Smith or Susan Lummanick. Please call Martha if you have difficulty negotiating the AHA website.
